LuxxorGas L.L.C, is a privately owned company specialising in the distribution and commercialisation of Natural Gas in West Africa. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Luxxor Group.

We serve the market a cheaper, cleaner, more sustainable alternative fuel. Our Services are aligned to the Nigerian Federal Government's efforts to increase domestic Natural Gas utilisation as an alternative energy source to the more costly, overwhelmingly imported fuel oils, which negatively impact the local economy.

Who are we

We are committed to continually introducing innovations that have, and will change the face of the Industry. LuxxorGas views every Natural Gas distribution challenge as one more opportunity for an exciting and comprehensive solution. Our proprietary delivery mechanisms are only part of the answer to the sustainability related problems that continue to challenge the Energy industry at large.

Our corporate philosophy and business model is centered on the core belief that investment in innovation, progressive development and consistent implementation is the key to success. While our company takes pride in its past successes, our unwavering corporate focus continues to look towards the new and dynamic natural gas opportunities of the future.

While some parts of Nigeria are served by a Natural Gas pipeline infrastructure, many more areas are not. Private residences, Estates, Institutions, Hotels and industrial facilities in these latter sections of the country are considered to be ‘off-pipeline’. These ‘Stranded’ consumers stand to benefit most from our services.

We offer a strategic solution for our customers who are located in these areas isolated from existing gas distribution pipelines. This concept also guarantees reliable and stable gas pressure at customer sites, regardless of whether they are within, or out of pipeline coverage.
What is CNG?
Compressed Natural Gas, (CNG) is simply Natural Gas (methane) that has been put under high pressure. Natural Gas is the cleanest non-renewable energy source. It is clear, odorless and non-corrosive.

Today it is possible to achieve up to 60% cost savings by utilising Gas as an alternative energy source. CNG is extremely competitively priced compared to conventional fuel oils. As such, the CNG customer will ALWAYS enjoy an attractive alternative cost-saving energy solution.

Nigeria possesses an abundance of Natural Gas and is documented to have the 8th largest Natural Gas reserves in the world, recently estimated at 200 Trillion Cubic feet (TCF), approximately twice its very significant crude oil reserves.
Quality Controlled Distribution
Safety LuxxorGas’ foremost priority is the safe reliable operations of all its sites. The company strictly complies with internationally recognized HSE standards and conducts frequent reviews of all operations and procedures to continually maintain and enhance health and safety policy. LuxxorGas deploys advanced technology to monitor and compile detailed reports on equipment status and conditioning in real-time, enabling a proactive approach to maintenance. Stable Pressure Natural gas supplied from LXG is always stable. This is achieved via LXG’s proprietary load management systems, which ALWAYS keep supply tightly in line with varying demand levels; this is monitored both on site and remotely at our operations bases 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Supply Continuity To guarantee supply to our customers, LXG works according to stringent contractual quotas, in doing so, ensuring redundant supply capacity is always available for customers, should demand increase.

There are several LXXG customer service offices, run on an integrated platform. These offices are conveniently located in: the heart of Victoria Island, off the Lekki Expressway, Ikorodu, Lagos and in Ogijo, Ogun State. This extensive coverage ensures a prompt response to any potential issues or challenges that our customers may face.
Q: What does scm mean?

A: scm refers to the unit of measurement measuring the volume of Gas, it stands for Standard Cubic Metre. We price in a Naira unit cost per scm.

Q: What additional costs can we expect?

A: LuxxorGas' unit Gas price is fixed and all-inclusive; there are no variable costs, including both Transport and Compression. Estimated third-party costs will be outlined in your custom proposal, which include initial non-recurring costs for primarily civil works and licensing.

Q: Is the GSPA going to be with LuxxorGas or with another party?

A: The client GSPA will be directly with LuxxorGas.

Q: We have some space constraints on site, we're unsure we can accommodate your 40 ft trailers, are there any alternatives?

A: LuxxorGas utilse the largest trailer skids available, providing leading capacity available in the industry. However, should space be an issue on a client site, we can also offer smaller 20ft trailers. The smaller trailers do not benefit from the same savings due to the loss in distribution efficiency compared to the bigger skids, thus delivery with these modules inevitably attracts a higher unit cost.

Q: Will you be installing a Micro Motion TM flow meter at our site as well to read consumption?

A: Yes, the Pressure Reducing Station (PRS) that will be installed on your site will have a Micromotion flow meter to read your Gas consumption.

Q: We run a 250 kva Gas gen set, can you help us?

A: Unfortunately a Gas gen set less than 1 MW proves to be non-commercially viable, due to the high CAPEX costs required by us in order to have the ability to serve a client Gas. A Gas-ready client would be looking to consume no less than 6,000 scm per day.

Q: We're on pipeline, but have experienced some difficulties, can you help us?

A: Our Gas delivery business is targeted specifically to operations off the pipeline network. That being said, we have been approached by a number of pipeline consumers who seek a consistent Gas supply, or for supply during scheduled maintenance downtime, in which case we can offer a minimum contract of around 6,000 scm CNG per day, an option where our Gas can blend with your existing pipeline supply based on a take or pay agreement.

Q: Will we receive an operational Gas report?

A: You will receive quarterly reports specific to your Gas supply, however this will be limited to billing data, Gas composition and demand profiling as well as trending. Distribution network data is strictly for operational control and is not designed for customer use. However should you have a specific data requirement, we would be happy to consider it.

Q: How quickly can we start?

A: The process to become 'Gas ready' takes around 120 days. This includes civil works and provisioning to correctly serve  you.

Q: Do you have customers outside of the south-west region of Nigeria?

A: Currently no, but we welcome any enquiries. Whilst likely cheaper than Diesel or Fuel Oil, the unit cost per Gas would rise significantly based on the current locations of our mother stations, making it less appealing commercially.

Advantages of CNG

Advantages of CNG  Non-toxic
Natural gas contains no toxic ingredients. It is relatively harmless, even when inhaled.

Advantages of CNG  Colourless
When mixed with a specific amount of air and ignited, invisible natural gas burns with a pure blue flame. It is one of the cleanest burning fuels, producing primarily heat, carbon dioxide and water vapour.

Advantages of CNG  Odourless
When taken from the ground, Natural Gas is odourless. A harmless but pungent odour is added as a safety precaution, so as to be able to detect even the smallest quantity of gas in the event of a leak.

Advantages of CNG  Lighter Than Air
Natural Gas is lighter-than-air, so when released into the atmosphere, it rapidly dissipates, as opposed to the heavy nature of Propane or Gasoline, whose dense fumes accumulates at ground level and thus carry a higher flammability risk. Natural Gas also has a higher ignition temperature (628.3 degrees Celsius) than Gasoline (246 degrees Celsius) or Diesel fuel (210 degrees Celsius), which further significantly reduces the chances of an accidental ignition.

Advantages of CNG  Narrow Flammability Range
To help ensure predictable, safe use, Natural gas will only ignite when there is an air-and-gas mixture of between 5% -15% ratio. Any proportions outside of this range will simply not combust.

Advantages of CNG  Cleaner
It is the cleanest-burning fossil fuel available. Natural Gas engines emit up to 40% less greenhouse gas than gasoline or diesel engines. When Natural Gas burns, virtually no harmful pollutants are produced. Reactive hydrocarbons are reduced by up to 80%, Nitrogen oxides are reduced by up to 50% and Carbon monoxide is reduced by up to 50%. Black smoke is virtually eliminated or non-existent. Reduction in the emission of particulates in the atmosphere decrease chance of oil/diesel spills.
Advantages of CNG

Natural gas engines can reduce noise by as much as 50% compared to Diesel burning engines.

LuxxorGas L.L.C, is a privately owned company specialising in the distribution and commercialisation of Natural Gas in West Africa. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Luxxor Group. Distribution operations within Nigeria commenced in 2013.

LuxxorConstruction is breaking new grounds with the introduction of precision construction using steel framing. It is a sustainable, high quality and extremely fast method of construction and significantly better than conventional building methodology of ‘bricks and mortar’.

Traditionally, cost has been cited as the reason steel framing has not been adopted, but LuxxorConstruction’s trademark method ensures costs are kept low, with additional savings in energy bills through sustainable development.
LuxxorConstruction’s first set of projects will be unveiled at a date to be announced soon.

Work is going underway at the Ogijo gas plant for LuxxorGas. The Civil Works commenced in the 4th Quarter of 2012 with the clearing of the 1 acre land and fencing to commence immediately. LuxxorGas, a pioneer in the CNG distribution sector is doing all she can to commence operation and begin serving clients who need gas but do not have access to gas pipeline.
The plant is expected to commence operation in the 2nd quarter of 2013.

LuxxorPower has secured its first 'turnkey' IPP project. LuxxorPower has been contracted to power an estate development in the Lekki axis. The estate currently has about 200 housing units with construction work to continue for building more housing units.

It is a step in the right direction for LuxxorPower as it bills to become the No 1 'turnkey' solution provider using bi-fuel (diesel and/or gas) to power generators for Estate developments and Industrial users who require a ‘turnkey’ solution for their power needs and at affordable prices.

LUXXORGAS was ably represented at the GAS TO POWER event @ Eko Hotels on 11th October 2012. The event was organised by Mantrac Nigeria Limited in collaboration with CAT Inc.
It was an avenue to for Mantrac and Caterpillar to unveil their new range of gas powered generators. This is in line with the current move of the Federal Government to promote the use of gas for power generation.

In attendance were the Luxxor Group CEO, Mr Seun Ogundoyin and Project Developer, Mr Ibukun Onitiju. It was an important event to network and create awareness about the ground breaking availability of compressed natural gas to clients that are not within gas pipeline network areas.

Speaking after the event, the Luxxor Group CEO, Mr Seun Ogundoyin commended the efforts of Mantrac and Caterpillar to bring stakeholders together and their continued effort in promoting awareness of compressed natural gas.

LuxxorGasExpanding projects mean expanding personnel. The Luxxor Group, along with its subsidiaries - including LuxxorGas, moved our Head Office to Elephant House, on Broad Street, in Lagos Island. Temporarily located on the 16th floor while the 13th floor is renovated for a purpose built state-of-the-art 600 square metre working environment.

Lagos Island is proving to be the perfect choice for the organisation, ideally located within the commercial and government district and with easy access to the Third Mainland Bridge.

LuxxorGas received some great news ahead of the Christmas break. Having progressed through a rigorous three-round selection progress, from some good local competition LuxxorGas were selected as one of the two preferred partners to supply Compressed Natural Gas to the Lekki Free Zone Development Company (LFZDC), for its 12MW Power Station Project.

Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) will cover a total area of 16500 hectares and is located in the Lekki Peninsula, about 60km to the east of the city centre of Lagos. The Phase I Development of LFTZ, named as “China‐Nigeria Economic & Trade Cooperation Zone” (CNETCZ) covers approximately 1000 hectares (ha.), of which 780 ha. will be developed by the China‐Nigeria Joint Venture ‐ Lekki Free Zone Development Company (“LFZDC”).

Having commenced the development of the largest private CNG Mother Station in Africa, a mighty 30,000 scm/hr designed production volume, in Ogijo, Ogun State, LuxxorGas has embarked on a new CNG Mother Station in Ota, Ogun State.

The development of the new CNG Mother Station with a production volume of 15,000scm/hr gives LuxxorGas a competitive advantage in the CNG industry by potentially obtaining natural gas from two different gas suppliers; Shell Nigerian Gas and Nigerian Gas Company. This greatly increases the integrity of our gas distribution and gives our current and potential customers the peace of mind to confidently focus on their core competencies without having to worry about gas supply.

Our forward thinking approach strategically positions us to help the Nigerian government in fulfilling the gas to power mandate.

LuxxorGas were invited by GE (General Electric), in partnership with USAID, to a meeting of Power sector players to review projects and opportunities in the sector, primarily opportunities in Distributed Power.

The round table session was hosted at General Electric's offices on Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, Victoria Island.

USAID is the lead U.S. Government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realise their potential. USAID invests in ideas globally that work to improve the lives of millions of men, women and children. Their current focus in Nigeria is Agriculture, the Health Sector as well as Power, under the Power Africa Project.

Discussions were fervent and varied. USAID's key action is now to share their initial findings on Power and Agriculture opportunities in Nigeria.
