30% of Nigeria’s Gas Reserves are in Bayelsa State

It has been established that 30% of the gas reserves in the country are found in Bayelsa state. This was declared by the state governor during a conference held with the Nigeria National Petroleum Conference held in the United States.

Bayelsa state is to be compared to the Houston of Africa in a few years to come, as an Oil and gas giant if only the government invested in the gas and power sector. The state governor, Seriake Dickson has said that the state is stable for investments as it has created a stable environment to sustain energy trade, due to the infrastructure made to attract potential investors.
